SAFETY METHODOLOGY · GB

A Safety Score should show its working.

Our 0–10 score turns five evidence areas into one comparable signal. It helps readers ask better questions; it never guarantees legality, winnings, solvency or a successful withdrawal.

The score is a weighted evidence summary—not a safety guarantee.

  • We assess five published factors covering licensing, withdrawals, terms, complaints and overall safeguards.
  • The factors contribute 25%, 25%, 20%, 20% and 10% to one 0–10 editorial score.
  • Commercial relationships must not raise a score; material new evidence can trigger a review.
THE FIVE FACTORS

Weighted evidence, not marketing claims.

Each factor is scored from 0 to 10. Missing or stale evidence reduces confidence instead of being replaced by assumptions.

  1. 25%
    FACTOR 01

    License Quality

    0–10

Regulator credibility, licence scope, operator identity and the freshness of verification evidence.

  2. 25%
    FACTOR 02

    Payout Speed & Reliability

    0–10

Published processing rules, verification friction, withdrawal limits and documented reliability signals.

  3. 20%
    FACTOR 03

    Terms Fairness

    0–10

Clarity and balance of bonus, account, inactivity, maximum-bet and withdrawal conditions.

  4. 20%
    FACTOR 04

    Player Complaint Record

    0–10

Severity, recency and resolution quality of substantiated complaints, not raw complaint volume alone.

  5. 10%
    FACTOR 05

    Overall Safety

    0–10

A final expert check for ownership transparency, security information and player-protection controls.

CALCULATION0–10 × WEIGHT

How the final score is calculated

Factor score × published weight, added across all five factors = Safety Score

Σfactor score × weight= 0–10

INDEPENDENCE CONTROL

Independent by design

Commercial relationships are disclosed and kept outside the scoring decision. Player harm, uncertainty and substantiated complaints always outweigh promotional value.

SCORE BANDS

What each level means.

Labels make the number easier to scan, but the underlying factors remain more important than the badge.

  1. 9.0–10Very HighStrong current evidence across every factor.
  2. 8.0–8.9HighStrong evidence with limited material concerns.
  3. 7.0–7.9GoodGenerally positive evidence with checks still required.
  4. 6.0–6.9MediumMixed evidence or meaningful uncertainty.
  5. 0–5.9LowWeak, incomplete or concerning evidence.
PROCESSOUR REVIEW FLOW

Four controls from evidence to publication.

  1. Collect evidence

Verify operator identity, licence records, terms, payments and complaint outcomes.

  2. Score each factor

An editor scores all five areas before seeing the weighted total.

  3. Independent challenge

A second review checks unusual changes, calculations and visible claims.

  4. Publish and monitor

Material licence, ownership, terms or complaint changes trigger re-review.

METHODOLOGY FAQ

Questions about the score

Does affiliate commission increase a Safety Score?

No. Commercial relationships must not increase a Safety Score. Scores use the published evidence factors and weights.

Is a high Safety Score a guarantee?

No. It is an editorial comparison signal, not a guarantee of legality, solvency, fair outcomes or successful withdrawals.

How often are scores checked?

Material licensing, terms, payment and complaint evidence should be rechecked at the stated editorial update point and whenever a significant change is identified.
